Week sailing from Harlingen - Programme
You go on board ship in the port of Harlingen and make the acquaintance of the crew and your fellow travellers. Before you leave, the route you are to take on the first leg of your sailing trip will first be discussed. First stop is Ameland.
Once the tide is favourable, you leave for Terschelling on the following day. On this island you can visit the charming villages, take a walk on the beach or a bike ride through the woods. In the evening you can enjoy life on deck or in one of the many cafés where you partake of a well deserved drink.
On the next day the ship sets course across the Wadden Sea to car-free Vlieland where you can take a walk or a bike ride to the vast Vliehorst sandbank. You can also climb the lighthouse. When the tide is low, the ship beaches on a sand bank and (depending on the time) this is where you will spend the night. With a little luck you will see seals the following morning. After this unique experience, you continue your sailing trip to Texel. Once there you can visit the Ecomare seal centre, the Slufter sea inlet or the Maritime Museum. These are sights that you really should not miss.
On the last day of your sailing holiday you make a long journey across the Wadden Sea back to Harlingen where you can put the finishing touches to your sailing skills.
