Weekend sailing Wadden Sea

Passengers will board the ship on Friday evening, from 19.00 hours. The ship will be waiting for you in Harlingen (province of Friesland). In the evening you can enjoy yourself on board, or enjoy a drink or dinner on shore. On Saturday morning, after breakfast we will cast off and sail through the wadden Sea, one of Europe's largest nature conservation areas. In the afternoon the ship will moor in the Vlieland harbour, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy yourself on the beautiful island. Passengers must make their own arrangements for dinner on Saturday evening. Vlieland's village centre has plenty of nice restaurants.

It's also possible to sail a weekend from Enkhuizen.

Travel costs are € 159,00 per person*
The travel costs include breakfast, lunch and bed linen. Not included in the price: drinks on board, tourist tax and local costs. Passengers must make their own arrangements for dinner on Saturday evening. It is not permitted to bring your own beverages on board.

TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE HARBOUR IN THE NETHERLANDS

With your travel information you’ll also receive a map of the harbour you sail from so that you can find your ship easily. You are required to arrange the transfer to the port of embarkation yourself. Please contact your local travel agent or the internet: www.railfaneurope.net for more information.

MEALS AND DRINKS ON BOARD

The travel costs include breakfast and lunch. Breakfast consists of various types of bread with cold meats, cheese and sweet spreads, plus coffee and tea. Lunch is similar to breakfast, with the addition of milk, buttermilk and something extra such as soup, salad or pastry. Passengers must take their own arrangements for dinner on Saturday evening. There is also fruit available on board. Snacks between meals, such as biscuits or bar snacks, are regularly provided. Beverages are available on board, and you should settle your bar bill with the skipper at the end of the voyage. It is not permitted to bring your own beverages on board.

TRAVELING COMPANIONS

On board you will meet an international company of traveling companions and their ages vary from young to old. If you want to know whether your preferred voyage is also suitable for children or people with handicaps, please contact us.

SAILING EXPERIENCE

You do not need any sailing experience to go on these sailing holidays. The experienced crew, who all hold the relevant diplomas, is happy to show you the ropes. Everyone is expected to lend a helping hand with raising and striking the sails and other small jobs on board.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We recommend that you take out travel, storm and cancellation insurance. With your travel details you’ll also receive information and an application form for special sailing holiday insurance.

BOOKINGS

After we’ve received your (online) reservation we will send you our confirmation/invoice together with detailed information on the voyage.

Accommodation
Sailing ship Averechts is a 37 meters long two-masted Klipper. The ship has 30 beds ( 7 x twin cabins and 4 x four berth cabins) and 4 showers and toilets on board. It has a comfortable day room with beer tender, wi-fi and a stereo with iPod connection. The experienced and friendly crew welcomes you on board!
Sailing ship Vliegende Draeck is a 35 meters long two-masted Klipper. The ship has 30 beds ( 7x twin cabins and 4 x four berth cabins) and 3 showers and toilets on board. The ship has a comfortable day room and a wireless internet connection.
Sailing ship Store Baelt is 36 meters long two-masted Klipper. The ship has 34 beds devided over 8 twin cabins and 3 four berth cabins. The comfortable dayroom and the huge deck area of 200 m2 makes this a very safe ship. De experienced crew likes to teach you the principles of sailing!
