Midweek sailing trips

Swap your weekly routine for a relaxing weekday sailing trip

Midweek sailing trips - Description

Swap your weekly routine for a relaxing weekday sailing trip on the Ijssel lake and the Wadden Sea. From Monday to Friday all you have to think about is enjoying yourself. You only hear the sound of the ship cutting through the water, the wind in the
ropes and the birds in the sky ... The stunning views will do you good during this 5-day sailing trip.

It's also possible to sail a week or weekend from Enkhuizen.

Midweek sailing trips - Programme

On Monday you go on board in Enkhuizen. After first becoming acquainted with your fellow travellers and the crew of the ship, the route is mapped out and we cast off. As the former lime kilns of the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen drop out of sight, the "Rea Cliff 'soon comes into view on the other side of the Ijssel lake. Your sailing trip takes you past Stavoren to the characteristic Frisian town of Workum where, after a collective meal on board, you spend your first night on the ship. The next morning you leave the fresh water of the IJssel Lake and sail into the salty Wadden Sea and continue your sailing trip to Terschelling. If the tide allows, the ship will beach on a sand bank and you can take a walk on the mud flats and search for mussels, or perhaps spot waterfowl and seals. After passing through the locks at Den Oever you sail on to the smallest and oldest town of West-Friesland: Medemblik. Here you can visit Radboud Castle. You spend a pleasant final evening on board or in one of the cosy cafes, and the following morning you hoist the sails for the last time. During the last day of your sailing holiday you have time to enjoy the fresh breeze, because before you know it the sailing ship is mooring in the harbour of Enkhuizen and it is time to disembark.
