For instance, you set off from the cheerful town of Cherbourg and pass Cape de la Hague, heading towards Sark. The next destination is Jersey, where the yacht drops anchor in the harbour of St. Helier. Jersey with it’s beautiful bays, beaches, palms and picturesque harbours. This area has a very mild climate due to the warm gulf stream. The sailing trip continues to Guernsey, where the yacht drops anchor behind Cornet Castle. You can spend a whole day exploring this magnificent island with its beautiful valleys, either by bicycle or on foot. From Guernsey you, often accompanied by dolphins, set course to the typical English island of Alderney. On Friday the ship returns to Cherbourg. This is an example of one of the possible routes. The crew is very well acquainted with this region and will decide on the definitive route in consultation with the group. Of course, the tides and weather also play an important role.

The voyage FRK0207 is an 11-days voyage which ends in Brest. Not only the Channel islands, but also the coast of Brittany will be visited. Possible places to be visited are: St. Malo, the island of Ile-de-Bréhat and/or Roscoff. Also for the season 2012, the crew of the ‘Jantje’ has chosen to make the voyages FRK2406 and FRK0809 between the Netherlands and France real sailing holidays with a good variation between long distance sailing and visiting harbour towns.

On board you pay a cash box. The cash box includes full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Beverages are available on board, and you should settle your bar bill with the skipper at the end of the voyage. You are not allowed to bring your own beverages on board.
